This two-hour continuing education course provides physical therapists with evidence-informed instruction in the use of dry needling as part of comprehensive pelvic health rehabilitation. Participants will learn clinical reasoning, patient selection, safety considerations, and practical application of dry needling techniques for cesarean section scar dysfunction and selected pelvic floor musculature.
The course emphasizes integration of dry needling into a comprehensive treatment approach rather than as a stand-alone intervention. Through lecture, demonstration, and supervised laboratory practice, participants will improve confidence performing dry needling techniques while considering anatomy, tissue healing, pain science, and patient-centered clinical decision making.
