Clinical Mentorship & Skills Practice with Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness

Pelvic health is complex and there’s a lot to learn! Many practitioners don’t receive pelvic health training or coursework in school, and often don’t ever get 1:1 mentorship.

Our team at Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness is passionate about helping students and practitioners new to Pelvic Health gain skills, confidence, and a framework for treating their patients. Check out our skills practice sessions and clinical skills library (coming soon!) to help you build your clinical toolbox!

Pelvic Health Student Seminar & Skills Practice

Join the Awake Pelvic Health & Wellness team on Saturday, March 23rd for a morning of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy education and skills practice. This four hour seminar is a unique opportunity to learn about pelvic health PT and practice a wide variety of hands-on skills taught directly from our team of Pelvic Health Physical Therapists.

We’ll dive into:

  • Pelvic floor 101: anatomy, function, and surface anatomy lab

  • Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Birth Preparation

  • Common bladder, bowel, and sexual function issues and treatment techniques

  • How to use and prescribe commonly used pelvic health tools, such as pelvic wands, dilators, squatty potty, and cupping therapy

Each section will include interactive, hands-on labs led by our Pelvic PT team. This will be a small group learning opportunity and we are capping our seminar to eight students so that you can receive 1:1 guidance and feedback.

We welcome PT students that are interested in/curious about pelvic health physical therapy looking to learn more and add skills to their toolkit. Space is limited to 8 students and registration is on a first come, first serve basis. *No previous pelvic health coursework necessary and we will not perform internal pelvic floor exams in this seminar.
